RAR Therapy supports children, adolescents and adults with chronic conditions to become more independent with their daily living goals and priorities.

RAR Therapy provides a clinic-based, mobile and online community-based allied health services.

You don’t need a doctor’s referral to see our therapists unless you want to access the Medicare Subsidy.

RAR Therapy sessions may be included on your Medicare Care Plan or your Better Access to Mental Health Care Plan. They can also be covered by the NDIS and My Aged Care for eligible participants.

Our therapy sessions are run by qualified therapists or allied health assistants supervised by a senior therapist.

We offer a range of session types, including:

  • one-on-one sessions (preferred)
  • family sessions
  • multidisciplinary sessions with other therapists
  • small group sessions
  • parent or carer consultations
  • support worker training
  • resource development sessions

We offer a range of evidence-based programmes, including:

  • How does your engine run?
  • Zones of Regulation
  • Playing and Learning Social Skills
  • Handwriting Readiness

Sessions generally run for 60 minutes but can be varied according to need. Following your initial assessment, your therapist will discuss the recommended number of sessions. Progress will be continually reviewed at the end of each session.

After your assessment, you’ll receive a comprehensive report including notes from the session and homework to complete. The report may also recommend training or education for carers, parents or individuals.
